Admin Manager (Bookkeeping, Procurement, HR and general admin included)

Successful manufacturing company, based near Nandi Drive (Durban North), seeks and all round Admin Manager who is wanting an exciting, varied opportunity.   B.Com degree and a minimum of 10 years working experience in a manufacturing environment is required.  The role includes procurement, daily accounts (debtors, creditors, cashbook, recons and returns) as well as HR and general admin. Procurement and accounts experience is ESSENTIAL.

Duties & Responsibilities

PROCUREMENT:

Work closely with warehouse staff to monitor stock levels

Liaise with factory manager to establish orders and production requirements

Liaise with suppliers, place orders,

Monitor lead times continually to ensure production is not delayed

 

BOOKKEEPING:

Do daily accounts ie debtors, creditors, bank recons, statutory returns, VAT; PAYE;

Cashbook

Stock recons

Hand over to owner and external accountants at month end

 

HR FUNCTION:

Handle HR admin, Maintain HR files, disciplinary procedures,

Stay abreast of labour legislation

Submission of workmens compensation reports

Submission of Employment equity reports

 

GENERAL ADMIN DUTIES: 

Organising office functions

Ensuring the office runs smoothly

Desired Experience & Qualification

B.com degree

Strong accounts processing knowledge  (min 5 years experience)

Previous procurement experience essential in order to ensure production deadlines are met timeously

Own Transport essential in order to run daily errands when necessary

HR knowledge and previous management experience ESSENTIAL
